We're pleased to introduce the newest member of the Advocate family, children's book illustrator Lirios Bou! Her adorable illustrations are perfect for children 0-5 years old. With her playful color palette, gentle humour, and strong narrative ability, Lirios's work is guaranteed to make you smile! "Lirios was born in the small city of Alcoi nestled between mountains in region of Alicante, Spain in 1988. Lirios didn't always dream of being an illustrator: growing up, she dreamed of many different professions including teaching, journalism, photography, and writing, but in the end she decided drawing was the most fun! Lirios studied Illustration and Fine Arts at EASD Alcoy and Polytechnic University of Valencia, respectively, going on to earn a Master's Degree in Arts Education from the University of Valencia. Since she began drawing professionally in 2014, Lirios's drawings have been used in magazines for children and adults, textbooks, and children’s books. Lirios achieves her clean and simple style through her bold use of solid colours and rounded shapes that she creates digitally. She lives in Valencia, and shares her studio with Blai, her crazy (but adorable) dog. In her rare free time, Lirios writes stories that become picture books for readers of all ages."
