Hello, my name is Dodik Hendra Suprayogi, an illustrator based in Batu City, Indonesia. My work combines pencil and crayon textures to create illustrations with depth and emotion. Alongside my illustration work, I enjoy painting, and lately I’ve found comfort in painting clouds. There’s a sense of calm and freedom in observing their forms and colors, offering me a quiet pause within my creative process.

In 2024, I curated a solo exhibition called “Escapism,” where I explored my longing for a joyful childhood. The exhibition featured works created using digital illustration and augmented reality. As an art teacher, I’m known for my focus on character interaction, visual storytelling, and attention to small details. My process usually begins with character studies, storyboarding, sketching, and and finally, detailed finished illustrations.

I draw inspiration from many things, sometimes from cycling through the woods, other times from simply unwinding with a Netflix series. Beyond art, my life is enriched by a menagerie of pets including cats, turtles, fish, cows, rabbits, and even small shrimps. Taking care of them brings a lot of joy into my daily life and often influences the warmth and variety in my artwork.
