Hi, I'm Fabiana Faiallo, a Brazilian illustrator specializing in children's illustration for over a decade. I was born and raised in southeastern Brazil, where I still live with my family. With a background in advertising and marketing, as well as training in various artistic techniques, I approach each illustration with a meticulous process, from initial research to final color selection. Working primarily with digital painting to optimize the process, I seek an organic look using brushes that resemble traditional ones. I draw inspiration from nature, incorporating elements of magic, dreams, fairy tales, and a touch of darkness to bring depth to my work.
With a portfolio that includes books on sensitive themes such as "Missing Violet" (Kelly Swemba ) and "You Have a Voice"(Vera Ahiyya), as well as comics graphics Folktales like "The Sky Fox" (Alberto Rayo) and "Boitatá, the Fire Snake" (Ana Siqueira), I continue to believing in the power of art to promote a more equitable society, with social justice, environmental preservation, and inclusion for all.
Besides art, I find inspiration in observing daily life, the people around me, and the vivid, detail-rich memories of my own childhood. I discovered, in adulthood, that I am on the autism spectrum, which perhaps explains my particular way of seeing and interpreting things around me. I like to think that this adds an interesting perspective to my work. I am a proud mother of a lovely boy and I have fun pets that make my days more special and bring me a lot of inspiration.
