Hello! I'm Maurizio Campidelli, an Illustrator from Italy with a career spanning since 1984. Born in the picturesque town of Riccione, I honed my craft studying in Ravenna and Milan, eventually settling back in my hometown. My realistic style, influenced by a blend of hyperrealism and diverse art forms, stems from my extensive experience in various mediums and interactions with industry professionals. While my work is primarily digital now, I cherish the traditional roots that shaped my artistry.
Participating in numerous exhibitions across Italy, Paris, and Taiwan, I take pride in diverse projects like the popular "Crush&Color" coloring book series and the creatively liberating "Magic Made Real" project. My adaptability in adjusting my style to meet clients' needs while maintaining my artistic essence has garnered appreciation. Drawing inspiration from a myriad of sources like art exhibitions, literature, and everyday life, I approach each project with a commitment to problem-solving and an open-minded attitude towards feedback.
Beyond my artistic pursuits, my early love for drawing, fueled by a childhood spent immersed in comics after a traumatic event, has evolved into a lifelong passion. Influenced by classic fantasy literature, movies, and philosophical musings, I find inspiration in the everyday moments of life, whether at a restaurant with friends or lounging by the sea in my coastal hometown of Rimini. Embracing a philosophy of leaving a meaningful mark on those who know and love me, I navigate life with a blend of creativity, introspection, and a touch of humor, always seeking new ways to express my art despite the occasional challenges, like my cat-induced allergies.
