Hello, I’m Mitchell Toy, a children’s storyteller and artist from Melbourne. For a decade I worked across reporting, cartooning, illustrating, court artistry and viral content at Australia’s largest newspaper. After studying Art History at Oxford, I turned to children’s books in 2019. Since then I’ve shared unforgettable stories, including the bestselling The Midnight Tram, now an orchestral production.
My storytelling style draws on ancient traditions, I am driven by faith, friendship and family, and aim to create timeless stories and images that soak through to the soul.
