Meet the artists

Welcome, one and all, to today's exciting collection of illustrations from the incredibly talented Begoña Fernández Corbalán! Don't get too comfy though, as she whisks you away to magical places full of unique characters and dreamlike landscapes. Her use of angles and scale creates a great sense of depth to each picture and really immerses you into her worlds. If you're looking for an artist who can really take you places, head over to her full online portfolio.  My name is Begoña Fernández Corbalán. Born and raised in Calasparra, a small town in Murcia, Spain.  When I was child I loved watching the stories of my older sisters, and I think they were the cause I finished studying Fine Arts at the University of Murcia.  For about four years ago I professionally work as illustrator, during which I have done illustrations for both children's stories, such as advertising, at this time I also discovered that I love to listen to music soundtracks while drawing, helps me relax and inspiring.  Currently I opted more for digital illustration, although I have also worked with colored pencils and gouache. What stands out in my artwork is a very definite style and quite realistic, but never losing fantasy. Guess that's why my job is almost always directed at children and youth.
